IMG_5213.JPG

Meet Marysol Galvan-Pelayo, a 40-year-old visual artist hailing from Mazatlan, Mexico. Her artistic journey has been deeply influenced by her connection to nature and her father's guidance, who was an architect with a creative and observant approach to the world.

Marysol's artwork revolves around exploring the interplay of shapes and patterns found in nature. Embodying the essence of animism, her pieces represent the spiritual connection between the soul of materials and the essence of everything that surrounds us. Through her art, she seeks to evoke the energies and soulful essence of nature, allowing viewers to connect with the inherent harmony between their own souls and the natural world.

Her upbringing on the oceanfront of Mazatlan has played a significant role in shaping her artistic style. The vibrant sunsets, tropical weather, and diverse flora and fauna provided her with an abundance of inspiration. Marysol's keen observation skills have allowed her to imbue her art with organic and symmetrical designs, often juxtaposing black and white to create striking contrasts.

Living in a place with limited opportunities for artists, Marysol took it upon herself to foster a supportive community. Recognizing the struggles of fellow artists, she became a driving force in supporting and promoting their work. Through her efforts, she helped others exhibit their art, find buyers, and secure gallery representation, thus creating a collaborative and nurturing environment for artists in her area.

Marysol Galvan-Pelayo's art is a beautiful fusion of organic shapes and mathematical principles, a reflection of her deep connection to nature and the energies that surround us. With a strong sense of community and a desire to uplift other artists, she continues to make a significant impact in the artistic world while staying true to her creative vision and philosophy.
